Beechmont Ave. crash claims woman's life

ANDERSON TWP. - A 50-year-old Cincinnati woman was killed Thursday in a crash in the 7000 block of Beechmont Avenue.

Debra Rhodes was pronounced dead at Anderson Mercy Hospital shortly after the 6:24 p.m. crash, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said.

Rhodes was driving a 1993 Toyota pickup truck west on Beechmont Avenue when she struck a westbound 1992 Ford Taurus as she was attempting to change lanes.

Oscar Crawford, 65, of Cincinnati, the driver of the Pathfinder, also was taken to Anderson Mercy, where he was in fair condition late Thursday. The drivers of the Taurus and the Corolla were not injured.

The robbers entered the bank about 1:25 p.m. and demanded money from tellers, police said. One kept a gun pointed at a teller while he removed an unknown amount of cash from the drawers behind the counter.

The two robbers, believed to be in their 20s, and a third man fled the scene in a champagne-colored, older Astro minivan, police said,
