The Enquirer and Deloitte & Touche LLP are compiling information for the 2003 Greater Cincinnati 100 private companies list.
More than 450 surveys have been sent to firms in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.
The deadline is Sept. 15.
This year's survey will show 12-month projections for revenues, profits, hiring, technology spending and much more, including private business's view on the direction of the economy. It also will explore changes in health care coverage, how much is spent on employee training, the kind of training offered and many more areas.
"The program is both a spotlight and a window," said Frank Leggio, partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP. "On one hand it points a celebratory light on the importance of private business to our local economy, and on the other it provides a window into the key trends of this sector.
"Unlike public companies, information on private companies is harder to come by, so the program is a valuable resource for the entire community."
Top executives of the largest 100 private companies in the region will be honored at a luncheon on Nov. 16 at the Cincinnati Hilton Hotel. Attendance is limited to businesses that qualify for the list. Featured speaker is Rocky Bleier, a former Pittsburgh Steelers player and a Vietnam veteran. Bleier, a motivational speaker, will talk about how ordinary people can become extraordinary achievers.
