FLORENCE - Police arrested three people Friday in connection with a home invasion earlier this summer at Pine Lake Apartments.
The arrests end a nearly two-month investigation into the July 18 robbery of an apartment on Pinehurst Drive.
Police say two men and a woman were inside the apartment when someone kicked in the door and three robbers rushed in. The trio stole an unreleased amount of cash from the residents.
One of the robbers had a handgun, but no shots were fired and no one was injured.
Police said a juvenile was charged Friday for allegedly planning the robbery and recruiting other people to assist in the crime..
Jeremy Mahan, 25, of Covington, was charged with first-degree robbery. Officers say he kicked open the door. He remained in the Kenton County jail Friday evening in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
Andrew Pope, 18, of Erlanger, is also charged with first-degree robbery. He is accused of driving the getaway car.
Florence police said Pope was lodged at the Boone County jail, but jail deputies said Friday evening they didn't have a record of holding a prisoner by that name.
First-degree robbery is a felony charge that carries up to 10 years in prison.
