FAIRFIELD - Senior citizens in Fairfield and Fairfield Township are invited to the first VIP senior night varsity football game Friday when Fairfield plays Lakota East High School. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
Seniors 60 years or older will get free admission, reserved seating, student-athlete escorts, free snacks, drinks and raffle prizes, and might be asked to share a memory of Fairfield or a school experience.
VIP Gold Cards will be distributed to seniors at the game at no cost. They entitle bearers to free admission to athletic events, many district music programs and other events throughout the year that do not require reserved seating.

Kings band selling tickets for car raffle
DEERFIELD TWP. - Kings High School Marching Band is sponsoring a car raffle. Only 4,000 tickets will be sold at $10 each.
The winner will be announced Oct. 22, at the last home football game at Galbraith Field. The winner may choose between 10 different 2005 vehicles or may split-the-pot for up to $20,000.
Tickets may be purchased from any band member or by sending a check or money order payable to KMA Car Raffle to: Kings Music Association, P.O. Box 498903, Cincinnati, OH 45249-9998.
Forum seeks comment on Springboro schools
SPRINGBORO - A Community Forum designed to get input on the future of the Springboro Community Schools will follow Tuesday's"State of the Schools" address by Superintendent David Baker and Treasurer Tim Dettwiller.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Springboro High School.
The community will be asked for input on the exteriors of the new schools, junior and senior high school additions and names for the elementary schools.
Warren Career Center plans public reception
LEBANON - The Warren County Career Center will hold a reception Thursday for the public to meet the new superintendent, Maggie Hess.
It will run from 6-7 p.m. at the administrative building, 3525 N. Ohio 48.
Parents, students, community members, partner schools' administration and staff and business partners are encouraged to attend. The regular board meeting follows the reception at 7 p.m.
