Hillenbrand Industries Inc. said Thursday it is cutting 230 salaried jobs worldwide in its Hill-Rom hospital equipment unit and lowering earnings expectations for the year. The Batesville, Ind.-based hospital and funeral products maker said it would cut 130 jobs in the United States at Hill-Rom and another 100 overseas. Hillenbrand also cut earnings guidance for the year from a range of $3.19 to $3.24 a share to a range of $2.95 to $3 a share, including the restructuring charge.
