Public safety notes
The Enquirer
A Cincinnati police officer was arrested Thursday, accused of punching a woman in the arm and choking her.
Marcus McNeil, 30, was charged with two counts of assault and domestic violence. The allegations stem from a Mayincident and a second one Tuesday, according to court documents. The woman, Dionne Davis, is described as living in the same house as McNeil, but court records do not specify the exact nature of their relationship.
McNeil's police powers were suspended, and he will remain on desk duty until the case is resolved. He was released from jail on his own recognizance.
McNeil has been on the Cincinnati force since January 1999.
