BOULDER, Colo. - A former Colorado quarterback has been found guilty of unlawful sexual contact for barging into a woman's dormitory room and fondling her until a friend came to her aid.

Colt Brennan, 20, was convicted Thursday of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal trespass. He could face up to 12 years in prison at sentencing on Nov. 19, and will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Brennan, a walk-on, was cut from the team.

The allegations came at the height of the football program's recruiting scandal in which player-hosts were accused of supplying alcohol, drugs and sex to prospective recruits.

RESCHEDULING: Southern Mississippi and California rescheduled their hurricane-delayed game for Dec. 4 in Hattiesburg. The game originally was scheduled for Thursday but was postponed because of Hurricane Ivan.

• The LSU-Auburn football game will be played as scheduled today Saturday, a decision made by Auburn officials following an assessment of Hurricane Ivan's damage.

AIR FORCE: For the second time in less than a month, an Air Force Academy football player has been cleared of taking illegal steroids after insisting on the stand that he believed the drugs were simply supplements.

A jury cleared running back Matthew Ward, 21, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Friday after a few hours of deliberation. Ward testified he had inadvertently used illegal steroids, and denied taking them to make him faster and stronger for football.
