Man gets six years after admitting rape
LEBANON - A 43-year-old Springboro man was sentenced to six years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty in Warren County Common Pleas Court to two counts of rape.
Douglas Finkbine pleaded guilty to sexual conduct with two children, ages 6 and 7, said Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel.
Springboro police began investigating Finkbine after receiving information from the parents of one of the victims' friends, Hutzel said.
During interviews with police, the children described engaging in sexual conduct with Finkbine on numerous occasions and said Finkbine made them watch pornographic movies, Hutzel said.
Ohio River flooding closes some roads
ANDERSON TWP. - Portions of Kellogg Avenue and Four Mile, and Eight Mile and Sutton roads in Anderson Township were closed Tuesday because of Ohio River flooding.
"They're in low areas," said Ted Hubbard, chief deputy director of the Hamilton County Engineer's Office. "They're usually the first to go."
He said he didn't know when the roads will reopen.
Meanwhile, the high water has forced Riverbend Music Center to reschedule Thursday's Toby Keith concert to Oct. 7.
Tickets for the Thursday concert will be honored for the Oct. 7 performance.
The Ohio River is expected to crest at 51.4 feet between 9 and 10 a.m. today, according to Mike Gallagher, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
That's just below flood stage of 52 feet.
The forecast calls for dry skies over the next two days.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday, Gallagher said.
