LINCOLN HEIGHTS - A survey of more than 300 residents found that crime and inadequate recreational facilities for youths and seniors are the primary concerns in the community.
The results of the survey were shown to a group of about 100 people Thursday night at a community meeting at Lincoln Heights Elementary School.
The meeting, sponsored by the Lincoln Heights branch of Seven Hills Neighborhood House, which conducted the survey, was designed to measure residents' concerns in advance of a political forum scheduled for Oct. 7.
Phillip Williams, branch manager of the neighborhood house, said state and local candidates have been invited to the forum to talk about how they might assist the community.
The forum is 6 p.m. at the Lincoln Heights Health Center, 1171 Adams St.
Williams said one goal is to form a community council in Lincoln Heights.
