National Underwriting Co. in Erlanger, publisher of insurance information, has acquired Insur'ed Inc., a national insurance training organization, the companies said Friday. Terms were not disclosed. National Underwriter is a unit of Highline Media LLC. Highline hopes the deal is the start of its plan to use National Underwriter as a base to build a publishing, training and information services business concentrating on the insurance industry, officials said. Bart Shachnow, founder and president of Insur'ed, will join National Underwriter as executive director.

Stock Quote Line almost ready

Repairs to the Enquirer's Stock Quote Line are proceeding. The server that provides stock quotes over telephone lines has been repaired by an outside vendor. It is now being shipped back to Cincinnati and should arrive on Monday. The quote line will return as soon as possible once the server is returned here.
