EASTGATE - The Clermont County League of Women Voters will hold a local candidate forum with dinner at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, 4501 Eastgate Blvd.
Candidates for the 14th Senate District, Republican Tom Niehaus and Democrat Paul Schwietering; and county commissioner candidates Mary Walker, Peter Strasser, Robert Proud and Dieter Gentzow, are scheduled to attend.

Sellman fixtures to be auctioned
MADEIRA - Take a piece of Sellman Middle School home on Oct. 16.
Contents of the school, which is slated for demolition next month, will be auctioned at 11 a.m. Doors open at 9 a.m. for previewing at the school, 6612 Miami Ave.
Available items include plumbing fixtures, chalkboards, kitchen equipment, cabinets, doors, windows and lockers. The contents of three houses on the property also will be auctioned. Information: (513) 985-6070.
Blood donors needed in Warren, Butler
Residents in Butler and Warren counties are being asked to give blood next month.
The nonprofit Community Blood Center will be at Oxford Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Main St., from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 11. The center will host a blood drive at the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA, 1699 Deerfield Road in Lebanon, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 12.
Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds They should bring a Community Blood Drive donor card or another form of identification that shows their Social Security number.
The center can use all blood types, but needs especially Type O.

Web site airs Deerfield issues
DEERFIELD TWP. - A group of township residents has launched a Web site.
Residents hope the site, www.savedeerfield.org, will keep the community informed and active in township happenings. The site includes meeting notices, ways to contact local elected officials, and township news.
The site is not affiliated with the township government.
Mental health legislation discussed
LEBANON - State lawmakers will meet with Mental Health Recovery Services of Warren & Clinton Counties Oct. 6 about legislation that could affect the mental health community.
The legislative forum starts at 10 a.m. at the Corwin Recovery Center in Lebanon.
State Rep. Tom Raga, R-Mason, and a representative from state Rep. Michelle Schneider's office will answer questions and discuss the mental health parity bill that a Senate committee is considering.
