The Beacon of Light Committee of Lighthouse Youth Services sponsored Tuesday at Taft with Annie Ruth. This annual fall luncheon at the Taft Museum of Art included a visit to the museum, shopping, lunch and the opportunity to hear from the Taft's 2003 Duncanson Artist-in-Residence, Annie Ruth, poet, musician, visual artist and Pulitzer Prize nominee.
The event was chaired by Joyce Dill. Marian Spencer served as honor chair. Co-chairs included Linda Lauch and Betsy Shapiro.
The sold-out event drew more than 200 and raised net proceeds of $10,000. All proceeds will benefit the Lighthouse's "Help Me Grow" program, which provides support services for Hamilton County families. These services begin with pre-natal care and continue through age 3.
