Promotions and new on the job

• Jude Johnson has joined the Cincinnati Park Board as assistant to the director. Johnson will be responsible for managing contracts and vendors, managing the park reservation/special use permits program and interacting with the Park Police unit. He comes to the park board after five years as a senior human resources analyst with the City of Cincinnati. He replaces Larry Annett, who retired in June after a 30-year career with the city. He holds a bachelor's degree in education from Miami University.

• The following have been appointed new board members for the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation: Sister Sally Duffy with the SC Ministry Foundation in Cincinnati; James L. Wainscott, president and chief executive officer at AK Steel; and Nicholas P. Sargen, chief investment officer at Fort Washington Investment Advisors Inc.

• The following have been named senior managers at Deloitte: Teresa English, Ruben Gavieres and Nancy Hollingsworth, consulting; Sean Fullen, enterprise risk services; Carolyn Karageorges, Ted Kuhlman, and Scott Shirk, assurance services.

• Dr. Ronnie D. Horner has joined the University of Cincinnati as director of the medical center's institute for health policy and health services research. Dr. Horner is former program director of health disparities research at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke. His doctorate, from Ohio State, is in health care epidemiology.

• Pamela Byrne Riley has joined CET, local PBS member station, as director of development.

• Sherry Knapp, chief executive officer of the Hamilton County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board, has been selected to join the 2004-2005 class of Leadership Cincinnati.

• Cameron Denton has been named director of finance at Phillips Edison & Co.

• Leila Hibbs has joined The Visiting Nurse Association, provider of home health services in the Greater Cincinnati area, as registered nurse case manager. Hibbs has 25 years of experience as an RN in both the maternal/child and home health specialties.

• Charla Lindbloom has been named assistant vice president at Acordia, Cincinnati office.

• The following have joined The Greater Cincinnati Foundation: James D. Huizenga, director of private foundation and donor services; Lisa Kroll, accountant in the finance and administration group; Raymond F. Watson, community investment program officer; and Jennifer Zimmer, grants manager, private foundations.

• Kelly Shelby has joined Arcadia Residential Suites as director of sales.

• Darrell Hooker has been named general manager of Maggiano's Little Italy, and Karl Lenz has been named executive chef.

• Michael F. Lyon, partner at the Cincinnati law firm of Lindhorst & Dreidame, has been sworn in as the president of the Ohio Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

• Eric B. Hansen has been named principal-in-charge of C+RA's Housing Design Group and Mark T. Bischoff principal-in-charge of the Hospitality Design Group.

• Chad Elliott has joined Audio Visual Innovations as project manager for the Ohio regional office.

• Susi Niewahner has joined Scene Savers, the archival division of Cincinnati-based PPS Group, as lead archivist. She received her bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University.
