Fatma Saad Abdulaziz is finally going home. The 8-year-old Iraqi girl left town Tuesday after receiving life-saving heart surgery Aug. 25 at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Counting time she spent in Jordan before traveling to Cincinnati, Fatma has been away from home since July 10 and is eager to see her family again. Her care in America was arranged primarily by 2nd Lt. Todd Wilson, a physician's assistant with the West Virginia Army National Guard. "She is going home with a healthy heart, but she will be breaking ours," said Anderson Township resident Marian Tarvin, Fatma's host mother. "We certainly thank everyone involved in making this trip possible and especially Children's Hospital and the doctors who gave her this gift."
