Promotions and new on the job

• Goldie Taylor has been appointed director of global communications and public affairs at Sara Lee Foods. Taylor previously managed a public relations division for The Home Depot. At Sara Lee, she is responsible for global internal communications, media relations, community affairs and related duties. She brings to the company more than 17 years of public relations, product marketing, event execution and community affairs experience.

• Regina Briede has been named assistant vice president and manager at First Financial Bank'snew banking center, scheduled to open in December in West Chester Township. The company has named Nicole Peace office manager for the banking center that it will open in Florence later this year.

• Gerry Sutter has joined Wessels Workplace Services as commercial relocation manager. Sutter will be responsible for selling and managing the company's office relocation/moving services. Before joining Wessels, he was with University Moving and Storage.

• Mary Jill Meyer has joined Libby Perszyk Kathman in financial services; David Barrette as senior designer and Cathy Baker and Maggie Ungers as designers.

• R. Scott Sanders has been named vice president at Wilbur Smith Associates. Sanders is in charge of the engineering and consulting company's Cincinnati office. He has 20 years of experience in the preparation and management of aviation planning.

• The following have joined Building Value LLC, a nonprofit building materials salvage and re-use business, a subsidiary of Walnut Hills-based nonprofit Work Resource Center: Doug Kloth, deconstruction manager; Scott Beard, acquisitions manager, and Megan Golden, retail manager.

• Rita Perkins has joined Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm, as senior communication consultant for the Cincinnati, Dayton, Indianapolis and Louisville markets. Perkins will be responsible for working with clients to develop human resource communication strategies and programs designed to educate and change employee behaviors. She has more than 20 years of communication consulting experience.
