Cavalier Walkathon Oct. 15

EAST WALNUT HILLS - Purcell Marian High School will hold the 32nd annual Cavalier Walkathon Oct. 15 to support student needs and initiatives at the high school.
Nearly 550 students and supporters will walk 6.5 miles to raise money for the school.

Grace Christian to hold open house
WESTWOOD - Grace Christian Academy and Grace Christian Child Development Center will have an open house from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday ) at the school, 3628 Boudinot Ave.

St. Gabriel PTO's sale raises $10,000
GLENDALE - St. Gabriel Consolidated School is $10,000 richer thanks to the PTO-sponsored M&M sale fund-raiser.
Five students tied for top-seller honors, each selling $288 worth of candy. Top sellers were Michaela Fetter, Liam Davis, L.J. Driscoll, Austin Bullock and Emily Motz.
McNicholas students volunteer in Kentucky
MOUNT WASHINGTON - Sixteen McNicholas High School students spent a week in August as volunteers at the Glenmary Farm in Vanceburg, Ky.
Glenmary is a Catholic society of priests and brothers dedicated to the spiritual and material needs of people in Appalachia and the rural South and Southwest.
Pioneer Day Oct. 18 at Miami Christian
NEWTOWN - Third- and fourth-grade students at Miami Valley Christian Academy will participate in Pioneer Day, an all-day, outdoors event on Oct. 18.
Students will dress in period clothing and complete projects to learn how pioneers lived.
Pioneer Day will be from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on the soccer field.
