Driver, 87, killed in left-turn accident
TATE TWP. - An 87-year-old woman died in this Clermont County township Thursday when her car was struck by a minivan as she pulled into her driveway, police said.
Lonza Robinson was driving southbound on Airport Road shortly before 6 p.m. when she turned left into her driveway and into the path of a Chrysler minivan, police said. Robinson died at Brown County General Hospital.
The driver of the minivan, Victoria M. Foley, 45, of Bethel, was taken to Mercy Hospital Clermont with injuries, police said.
Butler crash kills one man, injures two
MILFORD TWP. - A head-on crash Thursday afternoon between a van and a truck on Ohio 73 in this Butler County township killed a man and injured two others, police said.
An eastbound GMC truck, driven by James Conklin Jr., 35, of Oxford, went left of the centerline and hit a 1983 Dodge van head-on, police said.
The driver of the van, Jim Shrout, 51 of Middletown, died at the scene. A passenger, Daniel Richardson, 50, of Middletown, was in fair condition Thursday night at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Conklin was taken to McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford.
Northside man charged in restaurant robbery
BLUE ASH - Police in Silverton arrested a Northside man late Wednesday night and charged him in a robbery earlier Wednesday at the Blue Ash Frisch's restaurant.
Angelo R. Joseph, 30, was arrested shortly before 11 p.m. after Silverton police noticed a man and a vehicle matching the description of the suspect and car.
Police found marijuana and a Frisch's bag with $715 in cash inside his car. .Joseph was charged with aggravated robbery and two misdemeanor drug charges.
Body identified as Delhi Township man's
The Hamilton County Coroner's Office identified the body of a man found Wednesday along the Ohio River as Christopher J. Olberding, 18, of Delhi Township, who had been reported missing. Police do not suspect foul play. They are trying to locate his vehicle, a red 1996 Dodge Intrepid with Ohio plates BD53VM.
