Tea room, gift shop opens in Blue Ash
BLUE ASH - Tea is served.
A Victorian-style tea room and gift shop has opened at 10461 Kenwood Road.
The Gazebo Tea Garden is housed in a renovated brick bungalow surrounded by a garden that contains a gazebo, a miniature railroad, a fairy castle and a small pond.
Owner Beverly A. Mussari takes reservations for tea seatings at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
She also can schedule special-occasion tea parties for children and adults.
The high tea menu includes scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, salad or soup, a hot item, mini sandwiches, fruit, pastries, dessert and assorted teas.
"The gift shop features fairy garden items, tussie-mussie holders, assorted teas and items from granny's attic," Mussari said.

Law firm moves offices
DOWNTOWN - A law firm with an expanding practice has relocated its Cincinnati offices from Court Street to Carew Tower.
Deters, Benzinger & La Velle PSC has seen steady growth in its computer, information technology and civil litigation practice areas, said Alan Hartman, partner in charge of the Cincinnati office.
The move also provides space for the consolidation of the law office of Pierce Cunningham into DBL's Cincinnati office, Hartman added.
The firm's new address is 3500 Carew Tower, 441 Vine Street. DBL also has offices at 207 Thomas More Parkway in Crestview Hills. A full-service law firm, DBL has 39 attorneys.

New unit focuses on video archiving
DOWNTOWN - A video company has launched a new division that aims to preserve the past.
Scene Savers, part of PPS Group, focuses on restoring and reformatting movies. It also provides consulting, cataloging and storage services.
"Archival services are a natural extension of our core competencies," said Jim Bird, president.
"You don't often get a 'second chance' with this sort of material."
Bird said restored materials are saved in accessible formats for day-to-day use.
Film restoration can include color correcting.
PPS Group specializes in film and video production and post-production and can also provide interactive media services.
It was established nearly 25 years ago and serves advertising agencies and the corporate community. It is at 602 Main St., Suite 900.

Kmart reopens Beechmont store
ANDERSON TOWNSHIP - Kmart's face-lift is complete, and the discount store has now reopened.
The store, at 7528 Beechmont Ave., has been part of the transformation of the former Beechmont Mall into Anderson Towne Center.
Store officials say that Kmart's entrance and aisles are brighter and wider.
The inventory mix includes new fashion apparel and electronics departments.
Kmart has been part of the Anderson Township business community since 1967.

Distributor unit reports record sales
WEST CHESTER - The Cincinnati unit of an Indianapolis-based fastener distributor has logged record sales in the second quarter of 2004.
The Cincinnati area branch of Wurth Service Supply reported second-quarter sales of $3.1 million, versus second-quarter sales of $389,000 a year ago.
"The first half of 2004 was exciting, and the expectations for the second half of 2004 is continued record sales growth," said Rick King, business unit manager.
Wurth, founded in 1948, is a major distributor in the U.S. fastener market.
