Chamber lauded for communication
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce won three awards recently from the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executive Conference. The chamber won for all three categories in communication: best newsletter, best Web site and best electronic newsletter.
CareStar gets state contract
CareStar Inc., White Oak-based health care management services firm, has signed a deal worth about $140 million with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services over five years. The contract calls for CareStar to provide case management services for about 11,000 home-based Medicaid waiver consumers. It also will manage a network of 6,500 providers of care to those consumers. CareStar, with offices in White Oak, Columbus and Canton, has opened a Dayton office and plans to open another in Cleveland this week. Its workforce will grow to 350 people.
