Roundtable and a coney
VP Dick Cheney to visit Price Hill Chili Tuesday
By Gregory Korte

The candidates for president, Ohio Sen. Mike DeWine says, are campaigning in the state "like they're running for governor."
In that case, Vice President Dick Cheney could be running for Cincinnati City Council.
Cheney and his wife, Lynne, will visit Price Hill Chili Tuesday for a "roundtable discussion" with West-Side Cincinnati voters, as part of a bus trip through southern Ohio.
It's the third time Cheney has been to Cincinnati since Labor Day. He also threw out the first pitch on Opening Day.
The Bush-Cheney campaign is expected to announce the stop today, after an advance team and U.S. Secret Service agents poked through the restaurant during Friday's lunch hour.
The 43-year-old restaurant and its sister bar, the Golden Fleece Lounge, were founded by Greek immigrants and serve up Cincinnati-style chili and homemade goetta.
"I can't think of many West Side venues that would be more heart of the West Side than Price Hill Chili," said U.S. Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Cincinnati, who made the chili spot a staple of his City Council campaigns.
"The West Side of town has a reputation for being hardworking people who are very family-oriented, and I think that reputation is accurate. It's a great place for him to come. I think he'll be warmly welcomed."
Chabot, of Westwood, said he wouldn't be surprised to see Cheney address the most pressing current issue on Cincinnati's West Side - a recent spate of gun violence that has left an Elder High School student dead and others injured.
As for the menu, Chabot said he wasn't going to force the acquired taste for a three-way on the vice president.
"It's all good. I'm sure he'll like whatever he orders."
