Mitchell Ave. corner closed for road repair
Eastbound lanes of Mitchell Avenue at Spring Grove Avenue were shut down Friday after the road caved in.
Traffic will be detoured over inbound Spring Grove Avenue to Clifton Avenue to Kenard Street and back to Mitchell Avenue.
The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati is repairing the sewer trench.
Moscow teen killed in crash on U.S. 52
NEW RICHMOND - A Moscow teen driver was killed Friday morning when he drove into traffic while trying to cross U.S. 52.
Michael Hampton, 18, was driving across U.S. 52 in New Richmond at 7:50 a.m. Friday when he was hit by Kenneth MacFarland, 22, of New Richmond.
MacFarland was in serious condition at University Hospital.
Officer hurt when suspect rams car
UNION TWP. - A Union Township police officer was hurt early Friday after a fleeing suspect rammed his car into the officer's police cruiser, authorities said.
Police say the suspect veered toward Officer Ken Mullis and accelerated. The suspect, Jeffrey Sims, 40, of Georgetown, suffered chest injuries. SHe was charged with fleeing a police officer and drunken driving.
