Maybe Cincinnati native Nick Lachey has had his fill of Dessert, wife Jessica Simpson's line of edible cosmetics and fragrances.
But Simpson wasn't shy about picking out six or seven products from Pure Romance, the Milford-based purveyor of "bedroom accessories," at a bachelorette party on Oct. 12 that she threw for her stylist.
Chris Cicchinelli, the executive vice president of the company, declined to divulge exactly what the pop singer and Newlyweds star purchased, but he said Simpson and the other 50 guests raved about the party. Pure Romance's president and CEO, Patty Brisben, gave them a presentation on the company's products.
"Patty basically took the stage and just wowed them. They didn't want her to stop," said Cicchinelli, Brisben's oldest son. Pure Romance employees also got to attend an after-party at hip West Hollywood club Pearl, which included stars such as Lara Flynn Boyle, Jack Osbourne and David Spade.
Lachey and Justin Timberlake - who also employs Simpson's stylist - threw the after-party for the guys.
Since the bachelorette party, Pure Romance has gotten calls from more than a dozen other celebs, all of whom want Brisben to host parties for them, Cicchinelli says.
