Tips for safer trick-or-treating
Make Halloween a safe treat: Before sending the little goblins out trick-or-treating this weekend, make sure costumes allow for free movement and good vision, use makeup instead of masks and decide a route. Have an adult or older teen go with children. Carry a flashlight or glow stick, stick to your route, cross streets at intersections and don't eat treats while out. At home, check treats for signs of wrapper tampering. For more tips and advice, log onto www.ncpc.org. Source: The National Crime Prevention Council.

Names were not immediately released.
