The Hyatt Hotel provided a lovely venue for the Pearl Ball, a 30th anniversary celebration for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.

Attended by about 250, the evening featured cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, a silent auction and a special performance by the Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Mischa Santora.

Dinner followed the performance, along with a live auction conducted by Alan Hills of Fat Fish Blue in Newport. WGUC's Mark Perzel was emcee.

Honorary co-chairs were Florence Kaufman, Norma Petersen, Phyllis Weston and Melody Sawyer Richardson. Sponsors: Otto M. Budig Family Foundation and E.W. Scripps Co.

The event raised more than $90,000 for the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.
