Ballot misprint may affect Ind. school board race

LAWRENCEBURG - A misprint on absentee ballots in Dearborn County might have affected the Lawrenceburg Community School Corp.'s board race.
Ballots sent out initially listed two candidates in District 1, with the third candidate, Kelly Mollaun, listed as unopposed in the school corporation's District 3.
The ballots were reprinted Oct. 26, and a notice was sent to all those who received the misprinted ballots. It explained that they could request a new ballot or have their ballot counted as is, said County Clerk of Courts Gayle Pennington, who is the local election official.
Votes for Mollaun on the incorrect ballots, where he was listed as unopposed, were counted toward his total for the District 1 race. Mollaun, the incumbent, received 2,549 votes. His opponents, Christine M. Craig, received 1,315 votes, and Nancy Weldon received 1,728 votes.
