Under a proposal being studied by Liberty Township trustees, taxes from the Townhomes of Four Bridges, Trails of Four Bridges, Four Bridges, Cedarbrook Estates, Kyles Station Meadows, Summerlin, Allen Estates and Hawthorn Hills subdivisions would be put in a fund to be used for township road and other improvements.

The subdivisions lie mostly in the eastern half of the township between Cincinnati-Dayton and Butler-Warren roads. Two are off Maud Hughes and Kyles Station roads.

All property taxes from the districts, known as Residential Incentive Districts, that would normally go to the schools and other entities instead would be put in a special fund each year for 10 years, said Dina Minneci, township administrator.

The Lakota Schools would receive annual payments from the fund. "These funds wouldn't entirely pay for all the projects, but would provide seed money so we could get grants," Minneci said.

The projects selected are from a list put together by the Butler County Residential Incentive Task Force and include:

• Extending Cox Road from Hamilton-Mason to Kyles Station.

• Widening Hamilton-Mason Road between Butler-Warren and Cincinnati-Dayton roads.

• Making improvements to the Kyles Station and Cincinnati-Dayton intersection.

• Widening the Bethany Bridge over Interstate 75.

• Widening Bethany Road from Cincinnati-Dayton to Butler-Warren.

• Development of the Liberty Interchange.

• Widening Cincinnati-Dayton Road between Millikin Road and the Monroe city limit.

• Widening Butler-Warren road between Hamilton-Mason and the township border.

• Building a fire station.

• Constructing hiking and biking trails.
