Fischer Homes plans to build 553 housing units in two projects in Fairfield Township and Harrison. .
The developments are designed for younger families buying their first or second home, said Kevin Wilzbach, marketing manager for Crestview Hills- based Fischer.
The development in Fairfield Township, to be known as Fairfield Ridge, will include 233 single-family homes priced from $179,900 to $221,900 and in space from 1,400 to 3,000 square feet. The houses will be built along Princeton Road, about one mile west of Ohio 4. The development is to be completed by 2008.
Wilzbach said Butler County was a logical location for Fischer since it's one of Ohio's fastest -rowing counties, and near Fairfield, Hamilton and Middletown, which "have a high concentration of our target demographics," Wilzbach said.
The second development, known as Legacy, is planned along Stone Ridge Way.It will be Fischer's first subdivision in Harrison.
It will include 20 single-family homes and 300 condominiums. The houses will range in price from $189,900 to $229,900, while condos will be marketed at $70,000 to $169,900.
The homes will range from 1,400 square feet to 3,000 square feet, while condos will be 1,100 to 2,000 square feet. The project is to be completed by 2008.
Wilzbach said the homes will be geared to buyers in their 20s and 30s - younger families and business professionals.
The condos will be targeted to single, young professionals, newly married couples or older active adults looking for low-maintenance living, he said.
