Special events

Krombholz Jewelers in Montgomery is looking for stories about jewelry that holds special meaning for its owner but needs an extreme makeover. "Tell Us Your Story" is open to everyone. Acorn, the Hyde Park specialty store for women, will launch its annual sweater swap next Sunday. Customers are asked to bring in gently used sweaters by Nov. 28 to swap for new sweaters. Openings

TJMaxx will open a store in West Chester Township next Sunday. The 24,163-square-foot store, in the Voice of America Centre, will have a larger accessories department than a typical TJ Maxx. Grand opening hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Store hours: 9:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Fashion benefit

Moeller High School Mothers' Club will present "Sounds of the Season," a fashion show by SteinMart, plus dinner, 6 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Manor House, 7740 Mason Montgomery Road in Mason. $30.
