Dinosaurs roam in and out of Indy Children's Museum

INDIANAPOLIS - Huge sculptural dinosaurs burst from the side of the Children's Museum here, emphasizing the special place dinosaurs hold in the museum complex.
The museum's new permanent exhibit Dinosphere, is a unique combination of educational activities and science-focused learning that is also great indoor fun.
Imagine slipping into a striped dinosaur vest, complete with tail, to play in a nest of dinosaur eggs. (Sorry, most vests are child size.) It's a fun way to introduce kids to the idea that the BIG dinosaurs were once small, like them, and to focus attention on "Baby Louie" on display nearby.
Louie was an exciting fossil find, the only known articulated dinosaur embryo ever discovered.
Kids also love "Bucky," a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex. He's a big youngster, standing 8 feet tall and extending 23 feet from nose to tail.
Nearby is "Kelsey," a triceratops who might just be "Bucky's" next meal.
Within Dinosphere, "real-bone" dinosaurs are placed in active positions within settings matching what we know of their natural habitat.
Dramatic lighting makes the skeletal creatures life-like as you immerse yourself in the ancient past when these creatures ruled the world.
