Positively kids
La Salle senior is Eagle Scout
Dan Wissemeier, of Troop 850 sponsored by St. Ignatius Church, has achieved the highest rank of the Boy Scouts of America: Eagle Scout. For his community service project, he and his crew completed construction of a 120-foot safety railing that he designed on the Oakleaf Trail at Miami Whitewater Forest.
The La Salle High School senior is the son of Kim and Don Wissemeier of Green Township.
Five win scholarships
The Southwest Division of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors awarded $1,000 scholarships to the following local family members of association members:
Kathleen Hensley, a Norwood High School graduate who attends Northern Kentucky University; Elizabeth Maloney, a Lebanon High School graduate at Ohio University; Rachel Spurling, a Little Miami High School graduate at Miami University; Jennifer Crosby, a Hamilton High School graduate at Bowling Green State University; and Adam Noe, a Harrison High School graduate at the University of Cincinnati.
Local Glasscock winner
David DiNuoscio, of Hamilton, received a $15,000 scholarship as one of 12 recipients of the Larry C. and Lee Ann Glasscock Scholarship Fund, through the Central Indiana Community Foundation. The fund awards scholarships for dependents of Anthem employees nationwide who will be first-generation college graduates.
He is a student at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind.
