Alcohol ruled out in deaths
MIDDLETOWN - Alcohol test results were negative in the Tennessee crash that killed two Bishop Fenwick High School seniors just days before graduation, officials said Monday after awaiting the results for months.
However, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said drug test results were still unavailable, so no decision had been made regarding possible charges in the deaths of Kyle Babcock of West Chester and Barry Kilker of Lebanon.
The May 25 crash also injured classmates Robert J. Kreke of Hamilton and Peter Rouster of Middletown.
The students, all 18-year-old seniors, were on vacation before their graduation. Kreke was driving an open-top Jeep that went off the side of the road and flipped.
Man sought as child abuser
LEBANON - Police were searching Monday for John E. Nolan, 56, of Franklin, who was indicted Friday on 35 felony counts involving a 9-year-old girl.
Charges against Nolan, of the 8500 block of Foxboro Court, range from illegal use of a minor to pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
All the charges involved the same girl, the sheriff's office said. "We believe it just occurred in the month of October,'' Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel said.
Nolan is deputy fire chief with the Miami Township Fire Department in Montgomery County, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities presume that he has left the area. He may be driving south on Interstate 75 in a maroon 2000 Ford Explorer, Ohio license AF20YN. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at (513) 925-1283 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
