FEMA has new hot line for victims

LOUISVILLE - The Federal Emergency Management Agency has set up a hot line to advise flood victims rebuilding their homes or businesses.

York Onnen, a FEMA spokesman, said the Kentucky hot line provides free information and technical advice on how to minimize future damage for homes and businesses in floodplains and other regions that flooded after the March rains.

Lines are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The number is (800) 707-0258.
