Michael Snyder, who lives on Cincinnati's west side, has been a staff photographer for the Enquirer since 1992.

He freelanced for United Press International, the Associated Press and the Enquirer from 1986 to 1990.

He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in radiation therapy.

His notable projects include a series on Bengal lineman Scott Brumfield's recovery from near-paralysis and his return to football.

His influence: David Kennerly, a Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer for UPI.
