MOUNT AUBURN -- Marge Schott, well-known philanthropist and partial owner of the Cincinnati Reds, died today at Christ Hospital, authorities said.
The time and cause of her death was not released, a hospital spokeswoman said this afternoon.
Family members of Schott, 75, were meeting this afternoon with representatives of Gilligan Funeral Homes to make funeral arrangements, which are pending.
Schott was admitted to the hospital on Feb. 9 after she was having difficulty breathing.
"The family thanks the public for its support and well wishes for Ms. Schott during her recent illness period,'' according to a family statement issued by Christ Hospital.
