MARATHON—A Cincinnati man was killed late Sunday after he was thrown from his car when it rolled over during a crash.

Arthur Fries, 53, whose exact address was not immediately available, was driving east on U.S. 50 about three miles east of Owensville at 10:15 p.m. when he oversteered in a curve and the car slid off the left side of the highway, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Fries was thrown and died at the scene.

A front-seat passenger in the car, Allyson Duncan, 16, of Fayetteville, was treated at University Hospital for minor injuries and released.

Duncan was wearing a seat belt, but Fries was not, troopers said.

The crash remains under investigation.
