Father faces child endangerment charges
MIDDLETOWN - A Middletown man is facing charges after he accidentally shot his 4-month old boy in the buttocks in their Young Street home Wednesday.
Richard Hill, 24, of the 1200 block of Young Street is charged with child endangerment and having weapons under disability.
The child is in good condition today at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Middletown police said.
The mother was holding the baby about 5:30 p.m. when Hill picked up the loaded gun off the floor and it discharged, police said. The slug passed through both of the baby's buttocks.
No other injuries were reported.
