The Enquirer 80 Index of local interest stocks rose 0.19 points, to close virtually unchanged at 225.93.

Forty-four issues were up, 35 were down, and one was unchanged.

Leading gainers were LCA Vision, up $1.99 to $19.60; Toyota Motor, up $1.39 to $63.94; Fluor Corp., up $1.23 to $38.24; Cintas Corp., up 95 cents to $47.40; and General Motors, up 93 cents to $46.47.

Leading losers were Reed Elsevier, down $2.49 to $32.03; Federated Department Stores, down $1.22 to 448.39; Dillard's, down 84 cents to $15.73; Gannett Co. Inc., the parent company of the Enquirer, down 78 cents to $88.03; and Gtech, down 74 cents to $49.58.
