Egyptian man hit while crossing
street in Avondale

A 63-year-old visitor from Egypt was in critical condition this morning after he was hit Sunday while crossing the street in Avondale.
Alfy Kaddis, 63, is in the United States visiting in Hamilton, said Sgt. Bill Coomb. He was crossing Erkenbrecker Avenue about 9 p.m. Sunday when a car hit him and kept driving.
Police ask anyone with information about the accident or the car that hit Mr. Kaddis to call the traffic unit at 352-2514 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
