John Eckman
John Eckman, 25, Clifton, has been a regular in the Main Street
club scene throughout his years in University of Cincinnati Medical
School.
He and his friends haven't let the April, 2001 riots change their
lifestyle.
"I come down here all the time. I think it's one of the safest
places in the city," he says.
Business drop off precipitously after he riots, he says, but the
clubs quickly lured the 20-something back.
He hopes the unrest comes to a good end. "I hate to say it but in
a way, it woke people up."
The boycott, however, is another thing. "It's going to segregate
people even more," he says. "It separates people."
