Bonnies fans quiet down
BY MICHAEL PERRY

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. Xavier may get one break tonight: The Reilly Center isn't expected to be as rockin' as usual.
St.Bonaventure's arena can be one of the most difficult for opposing teams. The building holds 6,000, and fans are close to the court. The students, in particular, are typically loud and rowdy, sometimes obnoxious.
They were scolded by the Atlantic 10 after throwing cookies at Temple players and coach John Chaney on Jan.15. They shouted repeated obscen ities during the Feb.6 Fordham game, which prompted Athletic Director Gothard Lane to grab a microphone before the Feb.10 game against Virginia Tech and tell the students to clean up their act.
The crowds have been quieter since.
Plus, the students are on spring break. Six hundred tickets remained Tuesday.
The last time Xavier came to the Reilly Center, where the Bonnies are 9-2 this season, the Muskies were ranked No.13 but lost 80-77.
