Recruit visits XU; another goes to juco

Alvin Broussard, a 6-foot-6 forward, was to arrive at Xavier Tuesday night for his official visit. He averaged 23 points and 10.3 rebounds and was named first-team all-state in New Mexico.
Broussard had not been highly recruited but after a solid season attracted attention from perennial power Duke. He took an official visit there but was not offered a scholarship. Broussard has tentative visits scheduled to Clemson and Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.
Mac Wilkinson, a 6-8 forward from Louisville Ballard High, completed his visit Tuesday and returned home. He previously visited North Carolina-Charlotte.
Randy Holbrook, who visited XU last fall but is not academically eligible, committed to attend Odessa (Texas) Junior College.
