Xavier reaches A-10 volleyball final
The Xavier volleyball team will make its first appearance in the Atlantic 10 tournament final today after beating No.2-seeded Temple 15-10, 13-15, 15-11, 15-2 in Dayton.
The No.3-seeded Musketeers (23-7 overall, 13-3 A-10) meet top-seeded George Washington, which beat Dayton in four games.
Sara Bachus (Seton), A-10 Player of the Year, led XU with 21 kills and 23 digs. Jill Hampton (Notre Dame Academy) added 18 kills and a career-high 28 digs.
Today's winner qualifies for the NCAA Tournament.
