XU recruit wavering again
Hayes visits Connecticut
By Neil Schmidt
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Junior-college forward Mike Hayes is wavering a second time on his commitment to Xavier.
The Hartford, Conn., native visited Connecticut on Tuesday after finishing school at Cowley County (Kan.) Community College and returning home for the summer. His mother, Danyell Hayes-Lewis, said the hometown Huskies offered him a scholarship and that Hayes probably will take until Monday to choose between UConn and XU.
This follows Hayes' statement Sunday that he was renewing his commitment to XU, which had wavered when coach Skip Prosser left for Wake Forest.
