UD assistant joins Xavier staff

Xavier hired Bill Comar, an assistant basketball coach at Dayton, as its director of men's basketball operations Tuesday.

Comar, 30, joins the staff of coach Thad Matta, who replaced Skip Prosser on May 5. Comar and Matta were assistants on Herb Sendek's staff at Miami University in 1994-95.

Comar, a graduate of Kenyon College, has been at Dayton on Oliver Purnell's staff the last four years, including two as an assistant coach and two as coordinator of basketball operations.
