XU's West finalist for U.S. team
Xavier junior forward David West is as a finalist for the U.S. team that will compete in the World Championship For Young Men Aug.3-12 in Saitama, Japan.
The finalists were chosen from 45 players at the three-day USA Basketball trials that concluded Sunday in Colorado Springs, Colo. The roster will be cut to 12 after practices July 22-26.
