Xavier women lose to Duquesne
PITTSBURGH The Musketeers (5-9, 0-2) shot just 37.5 percent (24-of-64) and just 17 percent on 3-point attempts (4-of-24).
Sophomore forward Aida Sarajlija had 12 points and seven rebounds for Xavier, both team highs. Kate Kreager scored 10 points and Alexis Henderson added nine points and six rebounds for the Musketeers.
Beth Friday and Candace Futrell each scored 22 points to lead Duquesne to the victory.
The Dukes (6-6, 1-0) made 50 percent of their shots (29-of-58) from the field.
Xavier also had trouble from the foul line, making just four of 10 attempts while Duquesne was 15-of-16.
