Freshman Tara Boothe's seventh double-double was not enough for the Xavier women's basketball team, and the Musketeers fell 61-56 to Richmond Friday night at Cintas Center.
Xavier fell to 14-7 overall, 6-4 in the Atlantic 10. Richmond climbed to 15-6 (6-4).
The teams are tied for second place in the A-10 West Division.
Boothe led XU with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Amy Waugh added 14 points. Reetta Piipari scored 11 and Kristy Wallner 10 for XU.
Xavier will host George Washington at 2 p.m. Sunday. It will be NCAA Take a Kid to a Game Day. Fans will receive one free ticket for a child with the purchase of a $5 adult ticket.
