After four overtimes, Xavier handed George Washington its first Atlantic 10 loss Sunday, 94-92 in front of 2,136 at Cintas Center.

One day after David West scored a Cintas Center record 47 points, the Musketeers and Colonials played an arena record 60-minute game.

Xavier freshman Tara Boothe scored 13 of her team-high 31 points in the overtimes and grabbed 19 rebounds. Boothe and seniors Amy Waugh and Reetta Piipari each played all 60 minutes.

"I never knew when it was going to end," said Xavier coach Kevin McGuff, who saw his team improve to 15-7 and 7-4 in the A-10.

Piipari's 3-pointer with 2:36 to play gave Xavier the lead for good, 89-86.

The game was the longest in Xavier history for men or women.

Also Sunday, Boothe won her eighth Rookie of the Week Award, tying a record set by Saint Joseph's Susan Moran in 1998-99. Boothe averaged 12.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in two games.

She leads all A-10 freshmen in scoring with 15.2 points per game.
