David West won his sixth Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Award Sunday, making it the seventh consecutive week that a Xavier player has won the award.

He averaged 21.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 steals in two Xavier wins against Duquesne and George Washington.

West, who tipped in the game-winning basket Saturday against George Washington, shared the award with St. Bonaventure's Marques Green.

Xavier women's player Tara Boothe won her 11th Rookie of the Week Award. She scored 25 points in Xavier's only game last week, a loss to Duquesne.
