June 15 XU's deadline for hiring next AD

Xavier officials have said they would like to fill the school's athletic director position by June 15.

No candidates were named, but there are two possible internal candidates in senior associate athletic director Dawn Rogers and associate athletic director of marketing Greg Amodio.

After XU's run to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight this season, the job could be more attractive to outside candidates.

In 1998, when Bobinski was hired, Laurie Massa, the senior women's administrator at South Carolina, was a candidate. She recently accepted the job as athletic director at John Carroll University. Her brother, Gary Massa, was also a candidate in 1998 but is now Xavier's vice president for university relations.

Niagara University athletic director Mike Hermann could be a candidate. He is a former Xavier associate athletic director for marketing and was the interim athletic director before Bobinski was hired.
